UAE “The Change Initiative” cooperated with GE Lighting to promote energy-efficient lighting including LED lights

The Change Initiative is a agency committed to reducing the human’s impact on the environment and promoting sustainable development , which recently cooperated  with GE Lighting to promote the wider application of energy-efficient lighting including LED tube light in residential and commercial facilities in the UAE , and its goal is to promote household LED tube light to be applied to 70 % of households by the end of 2014, while popularizing the concept of sustainable lighting. The service goal of “entering the family” is to provide energy efficient lighting systems particularly LED tube light for the 7000 inhabitants.

   

George Bou Mitri who is the President and general manager of GE Lighting of Middle East , Africa and Turkey region,， and Agostino Renn who is CEO of Europe and Middle East and Africa region， and Gundeep Singh ，the founder and CEO of the Change Initiative , signed an agreement on “lighting Middle East ” which is the the largest lighting exhibition held in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Agostino Renna said: “The joint venture jointly established with the Change Initiative is a strong test for the support the GE Lighting made ??to the sustainable development of the UAE，the joint venture ‘s goal is to encourage UAE residents to adopt sustainable LED tube light and other household LED lighting to achieve energy saving and carbon dioxide emissions . ”

George Bou Mitri added: “The goal of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy is to reduce energy consumption by 30% in 2030 , while Abu Dhabi is to achieve renewable energy generating capacity by 7% in 2020 , which indicates that the state will prior to the environment continuing development. ”

As part of the agreement , GE Lighting and the Change Initiative are promoting the popularity of concept of energy-efficient lighting especially LED lighting including LED tube light and other household LED light across the country, and also providing energy audits， as well as new and efficient model to calculate the total cost of ownership and other services for businesses .
