LED industry is facing a "shuffle"

Known as the fourth generation of lighting technology, China's LED industry is experiencing rapid growth. Reporters informed from the 11th International Semiconductor Lighting Applications Technology Forum held in Shanghai China that China mandatory national standards for safety lighting is expected to introduce next year, the cohabitation of the Chinese LED industry will face a massive "shuffle."

According to the Institute of Engineering LED industry statistics show that the output value of China LED industry reached 205.9 billion yuan in 2012, an increase is 34%. He also pointed out that in Europe and America, including LED technology, must comply with the international standards published by International Commission on Illumination (IEC). Unfortunately, after the standard was introduced to the domestic，it has become a "recommended standards", leading the part of the domestic LED product safety worrying. In his view, enhancing the lighting radiation safety is conducive to China's lighting industry.

According to Professor Mou Tong-sheng said, a new mandatory national safety lighting standards are being developed, which is expected to be introduced next year. By then, all the safety performance lighting products will be divided into four, and label, indicating  to consumers,  only 0 and 1 only is suitable for home use.
